A little fin grinding is an easy fix. I just put a 1512 1Y on my 3905. Took the fins off about 1/2" wide by 1" long where they hit the trany case. 18/68 is no problem, 15/68 will probably still mesh to. I need the track to dry out so I can see how it does with 20/68 on 4S and then go from there. The 7xl ran hot (pushing 180 in 5 minutes with 80dF air temps) geared 20/68. It had plenty of bottom end grunt and more top end than I could use on the track set up like that. The 7xl was rated 2380kv, the 1512 1Y is at 2750kv so I'm curious is to how diff it will drive. The Neu is 5 ounces lighter than the 7xl with RC-Monster clamp, so that should help things a bit.
