Lol... its funny to hear what everyone uses. I've never had a lipo swell or flame on me (knock on wood), but I still take precautions.
In the field, I just use a park bench or the concrete. At home I just charge it in a large old wok. Yes... I said wok... as seen in "Yan can cook". Its made of cast iron, has a thick lid, high side walls, and a long wooden handle. Perfect contraption if the lipo ever goes up in flames. I'm sure pretty much any pot with high sides would work great as well. Just don't steal your wife's favorite pot.
There's two sides to every schwartz, he got the up side and I got the down side.
