I'm sure there is more than one manufacturer working on a factory electric 1/8. Its just a matter of time now. The writing is on the wall and it will be the next boom like the truggy was a couple years ago.
On the flip side... if nitro does get that expensive and become that hard to get it will sure thin out the crowd at the track. Who will I race against untill they revolution happpens.

I dont see this hobby getting maore expensive as a good thing no matter how you look at it. Its already expensive enough. It will just become that much more prohibitive for the masses and I hate to say it but the hobby has been struggling to grow for some time now. Anything that make growth harder in any area of the hobby is a bad thing IMO.
I hope this is just a nasty rumor.
