I tried running a 6 cell GP3300 pack built in a "solderless power tube", and it could kinda handle the 4800kv medusa I have in my Rustler. I also gear the bejesus out of it though to make up for lack of top end, so current draw is probably up there (8.7:1 FDR roughly with street tires).
I think the 3300 on 3s all the time would be the ticket for pure madness. 53,000 RPM is a lot for the 4800, but the motors are rated to something like 60,000 or 65,000 RPM, so you're still within specs. The 4800 is speced to handle a max of 13v, which 3s lipo falls under.
But anyways, I vote 3300 if you plan to run 3s more than 2s/6 cell NiMH. Even if you do run the 2s/6 cell packs, you can gear way up with that motor and it won't break a sweat. Since your little Cen is lighter with smaller diameter wheels/tires, the 3300 can probably still pull some high gearing without killing batteries.
I think the 4800 on 3s would be overkill. So either 4800 on 2s or 3300 on 3s.
