Desert Trip -

I went out to Lacerne Valley Lakebed with my buddies on Monday and stayed the night (got back this afternoon). Anyway, I brought my G2R and CRT .5 along and they were a blast to drive. They handled the bumpy terrain like champs. It seemed the CRT .5 was actually a little better since it was able to float over certain obstacles since it was lighter. Its tires were also much better suited to the surface. However, the G2R held its own despite having too much power and too little traction.
Turns out both vehicles are a little overpowered though. My G2R tore one of its Traxxas Response tires and sent a huge flap soaring in the air (I recovered it). It turned out it was the same piece that had torn before (I CA'd it back). turns out the CA bond wasn't strong enough.
The CRT .5 tore another wheel to shreds. The spin just started spinning in the wheel. I am now going to use 12mm (Aluminum) hex's and appropriate hex tires...I'm tired of shredding these things (second time its happened).
