Weired pinion gear question. -

I was taking the pinions of of my 9Ls today to put on my new ones I got from Mike a while back. I went from a 20t to a......20t. The reason I bought the ones from Mike is because they have a bigger set screw (2mm wrench vs. a very small 1mm wrench).
Well I got one of the old pinions off, then I stripped the set screw on the second one trying to take it off. So I will leave it on for now.
Now for my question. The new pinions weigh about .5oz each, the old ones weigh under .1oz each. So is anything going to be affected running one motor with a lighter pinion and the other motor with a heavier pinion? Obviously they are run off of seperate controllers so I should'nt have a prob with them, but are the motors going to be fighting eachother because one is lighter (spools up quicker) than the other?
I relate this to the lightened flywheel I put in my drag truck. I went from a 28lb. stock flywheel to a billet 9lb. Holly cow what a difference in acceleration. The lightened flywhell was so much more responsive off the line but does it sacrafice top end?
Sorry for such a long post but I don't wan't to ruin my motors.
Thanks.
