They work well in lighter buggys on small to medium tracks. I have run a 1509 1.5y in my rc8 with no problems. However, if you run on a larger track I would go with the 1512. The low end torque difference is noticeable between the two. The 1509 also is not as forgiving gearing wise as the 1512.
