There's a bunch of good vids on Youtube of the large scale in gas version and it looks like largescaleRC has a few experimental BL conversion of the MCD rally car and buggy. They seem to be running it on 6S-22.2v setups though. The BL are still faster than the gas at that voltage, but I would imagine on a 20-25lb model the amp draw has got to be pretty huge.

http://mcdracing.com/monster_truck.htm looks pretty nice and has protective side panels to keep all those electronics safe, but in searching the youtube vids it seems very top heavy and bouncy - not very stable on bumps - kinda gets thrown around a lot.
I think I am liking the MCD Race Runner
