The other thing that could be possible I suppose is the steering servo going bad and creating some sort of interference int he signal of the whole system, but I think the BEC is the more likely culprit.

Try a rec pack, and make sure it is fully charged, a pack with low voltage will cause all kinds of problems...

my buggy has a twitching steering servo but its a nitro its even worse when steering
