I can't remember, are you the person that Patrick said not to use the no-spark resistor?

What I usually do to check motor screw length is this: With the motor unmounted, manually (with my fingers), slowly, and gently turn the motor screws into the motor until I feel it touch the coils. Mark the threads. Remove the screw and measure how far it went. Then, I subtract a mm or so for a safety margin. Now you know the exact depth!
