My battery temps have remained the same with the MMM vs the MGM. I haven't noticed much difference in operation temps either.

MMM set to 20% punch control and 10% drag brakes. I also have the brake curve set low then ramping up abruptly at the end if I need to brake really hard. I like the brake curve to allow me less finesse in my finger control for smoother braking. This is all bashing in a variety of terrains.

I think hardware wise the MGM is the more solid of the two controllers, I think driving and programming are superior on the MMM. In a way it's a toss up, but for the price of the MMM, you can't go wrong.
