That a very clever design of how the gear mesh is adjusted too. I actually like that better because you can loosen only one screw instead of loosening two in a very awkward position.

While looking there, I also found the body for the "E-8ight":

Surely the mounting tabs are metal and that motor mount is brilliant , only needing one screw from the top to adjust mesh .
It's a pain in the ass adjusting mesh in the X2 with the RCM mount , i have to remove the whole radio tray and then my hex wrench still doesn't fit to get to the bottom screw . I have to use on of those cheap L shaped hex wrenches that come in the car kits.
I think this was in the planning for a long time from Losi , very impressed
