The HV-Maxx BEC is actually running off of 2s when you have 4s plugged in. The BEC taps into only one of your two packs, so that means it is draining one of your 2s packs faster than the other, which also creates an imbalance if you charge the two packs together.
The MMM BEC, on the other hand, takes the full voltage and regulates it down much more efficiently. This results in NO Lipo pack imbalance.
