Our packages and mail are shipped to the San Francisco Post Office for distribution to the different bases/commands in the Pacific region. For mainland Japan, the mails and packages leaves San Francisco via air to the Yokohama Mail distribution Depot for further distribution to the different bases.

To add insult to injury, I just received a package containing revo parts I bought from an ebay seller located in Winsted, CT. It was shipped USPS Priority on Aug 18, 2008.

That’s about 9-10 days and CT is farther from San Francisco than Kansas .

While your mail may not go through the international customs office, packages of certain weight and value still require customs documentation from the shipper and do pass through customs in certain respects. A small package that is very light and has a low value will pass through rather quickly and undetected(no delay), but a larger package with a $100 value or more will potentially take longer - Aside from that, priority mail isn't nearly foolproof. I have had packages take 5 days to get here via priotrity mail and other packages take 2 days via priority mail from the same place. Just FYI - I do tend to ship a lot pf packages, so I am pretty familiar with the ins and outs. :)
