thanks sjcrss - i actually emailed em about usage in diffs (why it escaped me earlier i have no idea), and this was their reply for anyone interested =)

If you have a gear set diff like a rock crawler, it is perfect. If it is a spider set type diff, then it is not "fluid" enough. It is equivalent to a 100W oil for viscosity, but it is not fluidic like an oil or standard diff lube to always "flow" around the spider gears.
