I agree that at 4.5" dia the 1/8 buggy off-road tires are probably too big for anything other than running through grass or flat dirt lots. I would want to do much jumping with that big of a dia because there would be no chassis slap and thus the arms would take all the load on big landings. I find that to be the case even with 4" 2.2 truck tires although that's what I run most.
