Got a Monster Max V2 a few weeks back and was going to put it in my ST-RR conversion. I have a MM in there now and it has working fine so I was in no hurry to replace it, and wanted to see how everybody else V2's were working out. Well I finally decided to hook it up and see how it worked. Running a Kyosho ST-RR converted to brushless, Neu 1515/1Y/F on 4s lipo. I hooked it up using an external BEC and removed the red wire from the MMM. Hooked up my PC and set it mostly with defaults with the LVC at 12v. Plugged in the battery and flipped the switch, calibrated and got the correct ring tones. I hit the throttle and nothing. My brand new MMM was dead. I reprogrammed the LVC to "None" and the Monster fired up. Hmmm seems to be a problem with the software. I decided to go to the CC site and see if there were any updates, there was so I downloaded it and reset the LVC to 12v. The Monster powered up and seemed to be working ok, the MMM was alive. Today I took it out on the track to see how it would hold up, took two warm-up laps and then started to get up to speed. On lap four my truggy stopped dead. Brought it in and it was glitching bad, oh no my MMM was dead again. Took a quick look, nothing was hot, no burning smells, no loose wires. I decided to call it a day and reinstalled my MM. Later when I got back home I decided to look at the MMM. From previous experience this type of glitching was related to a loose/broken wire. I checked the power wires, then moved to the three motor wires, I tugged on the white wire and it fell off, cold solder joint? So I resoldered the wire and the MMM was alive again. Took a few laps around the yard with no issues.
