I used Slash bumpers with some custom work to mount it to the chassis. Since bumpers can potentially take some substantial impact, I tried to keep from attaching them to the shock towers. Towers are designed to withstand decent vertical forces, but not sure how well they would stand to lateral (horizontal) forces.
