I know everyone runs single speed or lock the tranny in second, and I know brushless motors have enough torque to run on a single speed. But I'd like to try out the extra efficiency from a 2 speed.

multi speed trannys were made to make up for weak power plants, we have had a few members here that have tried it just to see how it will turn out and in the long run they all removed them. Unless your goal is to pull wheelies and nothing else go with the 2 speed. With my first Revo conversion I actually went in the opposite direction I did the remove 1st gear, lock in 2nd mod, it still pulled wheelies, put in the wide ratio gear set, still pulling wheelies somewhat and geared up the pinion and spur to 38/18 and was happy with that...my latest is a slipperential Revo which I am the most pleased with
