Its the finger! I dont think you necessarily have a problem. Its just an inherent side effect of brushless in an older EMaxx. The wheelbase is fairly short, and the power wants to lift the front end off the ground.
Get a wheelie bar for it. The Traxxas one for the E-Maxx works pretty nice for me.
Or try getting a little more precise with your slipper adjustment.
