at the moment, i'm running 22/65, but after the fan job, i was getting ready to drop 26/62 back in.
again, didn't really see a difference in temps on the motor when changing gearing. only time i saw any difference at all was the MMM and batts got a little warmer on 26/56, like MMM =140*F and batts = 130*F.

thanks for all the help.
i'm glad to hear from some of you that temps didn't change when regearing or chaning tires. i started out with moabs and took them off because of the heat. looking back, temps were no worse.
this hobby just seemed so expensive at the time i bought the brushless system, i didn't want to burn it up. i got the new e-maxx in january, spent 3 months making it stronger then went brushless after my third evx-2 died and took a lipo with it. it's been a while since i spent some money on this. i guess i may just be up to running it until lvc cuts.
i think i'll still change the motor bearings though. anyone know the size and if i should go ceramic for these?

Just as a FYI, you can use the multi-quote function to quote multiple posts in a single reply. In each post you want to quote, in the lower right-hand corner of the window there are three icons, it's the middle one. Just click on that in each post you want to quote, then when you hit reply, it pops them all into a single reply for you to type replies to. It's exactly what I did to quote all three of your last posts above.
