8ight-t brushless conversion.. v3 kind of... - 10.12.2008, 11:14 PM

Just thought I'd throw up some pics due to being completely bored...

Anyway.. I'm getting my 8ight-e Truggy together for racing next year and figured I'd toss up my current setup just to see others thoughts and ideas.

I plan on down the road when the MMM's finally start working right and not burning up after 20-60minutes of use... sticking it in to run this bad boy but for now I had a 100amp Turnigy esc I picked up a few weeks ago that seemed nice but has no proportional brakes.. Since I will be using mechanical brakes.. Well I have no issues since the esc/motor brakes are disabled :)

This ESC is a very large flat design and won't fit on the ESC stand that tekno provides which is a pretty weak design to start with anyway (not very protective) so I had to make a custom plate that I mounted on the top of the tekno motor casing which works very well, and keeps it a little more safe. I mounted my medusa BEC on the underside of the same plate to keep things clean and neat.. Now the fun part, I took my old emaxx waterproof electronics box and that was in a bin and decided it was a much much better option to house my spektrum Rx... Pics below!

I will have her up and driving sometime this week and will update on this Turnigy ECS's performance, I just can't complete my build until the remaining parts get her on Tuesday.

Other items..
Neu 1515 1.5d (13t clutchbell)
Hitec HS-985MG steering servo
Spektrum Z590 servo on brake duty

8ight-e (B&T) MMM - Hyperion Lipos
Ofna Hyper SC 10 Pro - Medusa 4800kv
