I hope to have the parts today... then I'll upload a few more pic's, but I agree with you from the heat on the motor. I purposely made my mount extend over the center area of the truck to avoid most of the heat generated from the motor... some heat will travel through the aluminum mounting plate, but between the 3m tape and the graphite mount on the botttom of the ESC very little should transfer through. I race though and couldn't afford to go with something less sturdy and chance a break in the middle of a heat or main. I actually had an old 3mm chassis laying around from something and just cut a chunk out and it screwed right in nice. I used two opposite screw holes and after testing found that was enough to hold it without issues.
