Congrats on the Muggy, they're a great truck. If you're going with a 1521 go with a bigger pinion, I ran a 13T on my 1515 and it worked very well. Definitely get the 1Y if you are getting the 1521, and make sure your lipos can put out 120 amps for ~10 seconds or so (more is better, but that's the minimum I'd run).

The 16018 is a good ESC, I run one in mine and it seems to do really well (mine was just mounted with 2 zipties going crossways, kinda tacky but it held it in really well).
