Unless you plan on running the motors at their full rated load (~7200W) for more than a short burst of acceleration you should be fine with that setup. Honestly, dealing with currents that large, I don't think the controller would self-destruct if you accidentally put another 10A through it! Does the manufacturer specify burst and/or sustained ratings for the controller?
