The 9L worked great for me . You will need a motor clamp from rc monsters or put a few screws in it to hold the end caps on/with a heat sink. Keep an eye on motor temps. If they get to hot,djust gearing or you may need a fan for the motor. I put a fan over my motor and then never got above 140. Even after 30mins of straight bashing
