Have you found the 32p pinion yet? I just got some novak 5mm bore 32p pinions and they look to made out of an easy to drill material... Not sure if sdp sells 32p with 6mm bore. How are you going to rig up a control button?

I haven't found the pinion yet. SDP-SI doesn't have them, neither does McMaster, and Kershaw would probably want $25 bucks for 1. I'm thinking since 5mm/32P pinions are abundant I might just have to find a motor that has a 5mm shaft and a 30mm bolt pattern and is no more than 45mm in diameter... Now, where would I find one of those???

Very cool though- I re-cycled my old nimh cells and fitted them into a hacked up cordless drill, much more powerful and more runtime with the 10 4300mah cells compared to 10 1400mah nicads...

That is where I was thinking of putting it. Right above the left grip (since I am right handed) with some sort of sprung lever for control. I want the throttle to return to neutral when I let off, so I wont use just the potentiometer knob as the control. I'll be putting a few extra caps on the ESC to make sure it starts smoothly while in a workpiece.
I did that also with an old drill of mine. The extra punch is amazing, and the runtime- no comparison. It did take longer to charge since the "1 hour" charger only put out 1.2 amps!
