I will see if I can find someone local who can turn down the shaft on the KB45. Who knows, I may try and do it myself.

It was not too difficult to turn the shaft down, but we made a pvc slide over sleeve to go over the magnet. That gave us something to chuck onto with the lathe, and also shielded the lathe from the magnetic force of the magnet. My machinist did not want to magnetize his chuck, and I do not blame him...
I can get a pic of the coupler/collar if it will help...
