Get a 9XL on 20 cells, it's a blast. If you have got deep pockets and you are willing to use the money, go lipo. It takes quite a lipo setup to get you the power needed. If you are in the race for a new charger (which i presume) you need to go for a good one. In germany, they are selling the Graupner ultra duo 30, able to charge up to 30 cells and 10S lipo.

Lipo's would take about a 6S setup to push your savage with 55mph+ around. And my advise is that you need about 3 sets of batteries to keep him going.. If this is your first start, please act normal, and start with a 16 or 18 cell setup. Having a fast monstertruck is one. Keeping it going straight, takes some time and a few crashes. Trust me, you don't want it to do wheelies at 40-45 mph. it might look cool, but i can guarantee you that that was probably the last you did see your savage do in one piece.. ;)

Start with something normal, the 9XL is a good motor though, and with 16 cells its a blast allready. With 18 it is pretty insane, and with 20 you will have the effect as i explained earlier.. :p

Like i said, i would take a 16 cell setup to start with. It is pretty mad allready, you need to learn how to tame a brushless beast first.. Thrust me on that one..
