You can mod kyosho mi-st09 diffs (nitro half-eight st) to fit in the mlst. Someone on ebay sold them already modded to fit in the mlst.

Hmm, had not heard of that mod, with metal diff cases and the kyosho diffs it should be pretty good. I always had problems with the ring and pinion gears loosing teeth, so I figured it was case flex. The viscous diffs were ok once I removed the oring seals and replaced them with solid washers. The outputs were pulling out under force and squashing the oring. Bad design, IMO.
