Whats the negative to removing the switch. The reason I ask is one stock slide switch got sand in it and was intermittent. So I picked up a pretty nice toggle switch from Radio Shack. Well today it was intermittent, must have gotten sand or dirt in it.

First time the stock switch went south it cost me a suspension arm and a hinge pin. At our track at the end of the stright is high banked left turn (bowl), on the other side is the rock crawling course. As you can guess the switch cut out after coming down the straight full speed, wasn't able to make the turn. I don't drive on sand like beach sand, the track is more loamy with fine sand (dust).

So what would be the negative to just clipping the switch and soldering the two wires together. As long as my radio is on when I plug the battery in I should be ok. I always unplug the battery as soon as I pull it off the track anyway.
