I used the rally conversion, an airplane motor(480 size) and made my own chassis, motor mount etc. It uses a mini MG servo, but a full size servo could fit. I drilled new holes in the suspension arms for more travel and used super nitro rally wheels/tires at the time. It would out crawl the tlt, and outhandle the mini ts on the track. It also had plenty of wheelie power(especially with a 3s lipo!) and was a blast to run in the house.
Perhaps I will update this little gem, now that I have some better equipment!
if you take this project on, please post some pictures! I can, of course, help you with parts, etc. as well!
I actually picked up a Feigao 38012l motor to use in this little gem, too. And it eventually got rear 1/10 buggy bowties on chrome rims.
