I would get another exteral disk and double backup...

Put one disk in a fire proof safe or leave with a trusted relative...

You forget if you have a house fire you are still screwed!

PS If anyone wants a Core 2 Dual Core 6600 on a evga 680i MB with a 8800GTS 640MB video card - Runs perfectly stable at 3.2 GHz LMK - I'm toying with upgrading...
