The next upgrade on the list was the tranny and diffs and new bulkheads. Since I stripped an idler in the tranny, I bought the RC-Monster hardened steel ones. However, I only used one, because I locked the tranny in second and turned it 180 degrees in the chassis so the spur would be facing forward. Then I purchased a G-Maxx single motor motor plate. Next up was the diffs and bulkheads. There were 2 problems here. 1st was that it had stock plastic diff cups and would spin the spider pin around inside the case and strip it and render it useless. Took care of that problem with FLM aluminum diff cups. But then a second problem came about, the ring and pinion gears were stripping. I realized that they were stripping due to having the stock plastic gear cases and diff case retainers. They were allowing the pinion and bearings to move and flex the case when load was applied, allowing the pinion to push out from the ring gear and strip the teeth. So I took care of that problem with FLM Hybrid bulks for the 3906 diffs. Now I somewhat regret not going with the hybrid bulks meant for buggy diffs, but oh well. Anyway, I currently have the rear FLM hybrid bulk installed, and have yet to install the front one. Now for some pics. Also pictured are the RPM arms. Something you may not be able to see in the picture are my custom wing mount braces and the 1/4'' wingmount setback I did with some aluminum spacers.

First some pictures of the Maxx posing with my crawler and buggy

And now for some pictures of the Maxx (dont mind the crawler in the background of these pics)

Thanks, sadly I didn't much like that HardDrive body. And I used Krylon paint on it which peeled off, so there are tons of clear spots on the body, and I had to butcher it to get the back of it to clear that OFNA Hi-Downforce wing. I now have a new Proline 72 Chevy C-10 body painted Tamiya Metallic Black (and it sure looks good, cant find the pics, but I will keep looking for them) and it looks amazing with that OFNA wing.
