It would be interesting to put my 70mm (2000KV) motor in my Muggy with the same pinion and see what kind of difference there would be. EDIT: Did you do anything to the Center Diff? The first thing I did after stripping the nitro crap off when I bought mine was pull the CD and put 30K fluid in it. I can still wheelie and it balloons the front wheels as it does it but it really helps to make it 4wd instead of FWD  If you get the 80mm you'll probably also want to oil up the front diff, I can unload mine pretty easily and will probably get some 10K for it to hook up through on-power cornering. |
I put 30k in the center, 10k in front an 7k in the rear. I also have a robinson racing 48spur in the center. I'm thinking of replacing that one with a 45t losi 8ight spur, or just the stock 46.
I was geard pretty conservative on my first run, 11/48. That's because I wasn't sure how the 60mm would handle the muggy. Larger pinions are on the way. Right now I have my muggy set up with a mega acn 22/45/2 and am wating for the outside temps to rise (freezing here right now, and already broke rear arms bc of that and my crappy driving).
EDIT: I also replaced the plastic diff housings with losi alu ones.
