Since speed isn't a concern, you can gear it for about 30-35mph, run a smaller motor, and get great runtimes due to low amp draw. I would say for an inexpensive setup get something like a Medusa 36-60-2000 and a MM/UBEC to use with 4s. For 6s the obvious choice is a MMM, and maybe a Medusa 36-60-1600.
