Little update. I still have not ran it But in the mean time I always liked the Traxxas battery vents and wanted to make some hood scoops out of them. Well I did not like how clunky they looked on the hood or roof so I settled with the side, not thinking about it being off road turning that it would be throwing all the dirt at/in it. I deciding that it probably wouldn't be a good idea to put it on the motor side so I had to work with what I got. Let me know what you think?

I picked up some aluminum screen door repair kit to block the dirt but still looked a little large so I push it together and set it on some tape. Cut the size I needed ca glued it to the body then peeled the tape off.

So with the left over side I just bolted it on the back side to blow the air down over the battery.

that looks pretty good. i am a big fan of air scoops and i also use screen mesh too. check out this site for some cool looking hood scoops that are cheap. they also sell stainless steel mesh which looks really cool like for a front air dam or something like that. if you do a search here in the forums for RC8T build you should find my thread with my rc8t build which has both the hood scoop and the steel mesh from this site.
