I found that with the motor braking, it didn't feel as precise when slowing down. I figured it was because of the center diff, as Shark was saying.

The other thing I was concerned about was the extra wear and tear on the pinion/spur. With motor braking, the entire force of slowing the vehicle would be generated from those tiny teeth.
