Hey Rivermaxx we are happy that you have come to play here at RCM, and that you are slowly making the change over to BL, but you are right there is no love lost here for nitro and that is not going to change even though some of the guys here run both.
As far as your comment on the BL Revo well things are just begining to heat up in that respect. We all know that the power of BL is much higher than nitro, especially on take off. A DC motor has twice the torque of a nitro setup, and a steady flow of power until the batteries reach their miliamp limits. That end is only getting better and better. As for the ESC's and other electronics burning up. A lot of those events are due to improper setups, Poor choice of equipment matching, and lack of knowledge for the most part. Even the manufacturers are still in the learning curve for BL so we are at their mercy. Still if you do your homework and make the right choices for your setup I would be willing to bet that you could give your old nitro counterparts a run for the money, and probably convince them to try BL due to your showing. It is still a matter of preference just like fans of Ford or Chevy or whatever. Who really cares anyway. Just have fun running what ever you can get your hands on and enjoy the hobby. Lifes too short. Good luck with that guys. Can't we all just get along???
