Hey Asheck,
I love the Chevrons too. I'm not pushing top speed runs like you are, but they are the best gripping tire I've tried so far.
I do love my phaltlines for top speed runs though. You need to reglue them BEFORE you blow them off the rims. Those guys know how to make tires, too bad they don't know how to glue them. LOL
