You can't beat Hexcrews Armour-plated screws IMO. Alloy steel (can't remember what grade, but it's good stuff) and nickel-plated to prevent corrosion. I've never stripped, bent or sheared a single one, and I've used probably hundreds. RC Screws are just stainless steel, and way too soft for serious use. Might be good for a shelf queen, but that's about it.

George, do you not find grade 14.9 to be brittle? I've not used them in RC before so just shout me down if I'm wrong, but I'd have thought they'd shear more easily in hard impacts?
