Now there's a quote worth remembering.
After reading your description of what happened Tmaxxracer, I would DEFINATELY say that the person that did this was close to you, at least at some point.
This was carefully planned. They knew the approximate time that you were leaving. I would go so far as to say, they even knew where you were going. They knew you wouldn't be back for quite some time.
I would imagine you were being watched as you left.
My best advice would be, to work closely with the Police. Tell them everything you know and everything you suspect.
Your "Evidence" will be to locate the stolen stuff. Figuring out where it went will be the challenge.
I give a VERY good chance that you know this person or it is someone that you're acquanted with.

Very good points. It's definitely someone who has something against you... They made that obvious by mainly taking all of
YOUR stuff...
Not that it compares in scale to what you experienced, but I had my car CD player ripped out of my dash a few years ago. I went to work @ 12pm, went out to my car for my break @ 3pm and it was gone...

I was in a front corner spot in the lot, too and noone saw anything.

The security guy where I was working (who I was good friends with) suggested what would've happened if
they had caught him in the act... I responded with:
WHAT IF I HAD CAUGHT HIM IN THE ACT!!!!!

I tell you what, they would've been picking up pieces- and I don't own any weapons.....
