Should have changed that... I wrote the first part after 5 minutes of browsing then did another 10 minutes... When you bring up the part about language, I think that is part of it, but it seems like most of it would be the 11 year olds that don't think before you post. They also cry and report you when you tell them their they're wrong.

Sorry if you don't like the bashing of the traxxas forums, but there are a lot of people here that do it. It's just that IMO half the thread are noobs saying "Will the stock revo tires work no on a Maxx?
Thats why I came up with this

1) Batteries. This System is capable of 4-6 cell lipo. When refering to lipo, cells in series is shortened to s,so 4-6s lipo.Nihm's can be used, but not recommended. If you choose to run them these are the only ones I'd use http://www.spcracing.com/index.php?productID=62 For most 4s is to much power,so 6s should only be attempted by the experienced rc'er.Some of The most commonly used budget lipos are SPC 8000mah 2s , http://www.spcracing.com/index.php?productID=61 ,you use 2 for 4s total also zippy http://www.hobbycity.com what they have on hand varies,so a search will be necessary. If money isn't an issue you can look at http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...P5200SP28c2S2P or if you want to get an extended warranty ma http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...O-Pair&cat=172
2) Chargers for your lipos.Lipos require a balancing charger. For people on a budget these work good. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...r_&_discharger They require the power supply linked on the page to power it.Also If you have more money I would look at the Hyperion duo http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...10DV2&cat=19or the Cellpro http://www.fmadirect.com/new_applica...0s_charger.htm There are many kinds of balance taps on lipos, verify that the batteries and charger matches,or you will have to get an adapter. http://www.maxamps.com/categories.php?cat=173 You should store and charge your lipos in a fireproof area,as they can be a fire hazard if something goes wrong.
3)Gearing. Stock on 4s the E-revo will go 35mph with 18/65.You can change these to increase or lower speed as your experience improves.I would suggest not changing it till you have some wheel time. But to go faster you make the bigger # smaller, add a smaller spur gear.Or increase the smaller #,add a bigger pinion. But doing this will increase heat and amp draw on the batteries. You should have a temp gun before you start messing with gearing. link to a Gear chart using stock tires http://pic20.picturetrail.com:80/VOL.../352097972.jpg
4) suspension. The springs are set soft from the factory. You can install the included stiffer springs to help this. The blue is recommended on the back and the silver on the front.I wouldn't get into very much more until you understand how the suspension works,it's a complicated system, and can make the truck handle bad if you get it wrong.
5)MMM . Before running your vehicle with lipos you will want to setup your esc for the lipo cutoff. This can be done by following the instructions included.Or you can get a Castle link. http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...stle_link.html This allows for greater adjustment of the esc using a computer.
6)If by reading this you learned anything,You are totally unworthy to have such a vehicle.A couple years ago a vehicle of this quality would have costed 1000's of dollars, and you had to be knowledgable to build one.Because of the veterans of this hobby ,who did conversions ,and yelled, kicked ,and screamed loud enough the manufacturers heard them,we have these available. We owe them all the thanks.Problem is,they won't stoop to reading this. Keep a sense of humor about this. Thanks Hoov for the gear chart, and Suicideneil is god,he wrote the real faq,may he R.I.P. Also ,if you made it this far and are thirsting for real info ,this will be more then your fragile little mind can handle. http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=430233
My dad taught me,if your gonna say something bad about someone, say it to their face, that way there's no doubt later what was said.I often call people out,and even did to 69malibu in that thread. Also called brushlessman that he didn;t know how to set a spur, for stripping the 32p
