Well, that does suck, and I'd be quite miffed too. I'm not defending him nor am I trying to victimize the victim (as a matter of fact, this is the type of things for which I would punch someone in the face repeatebly), but IMO, once he has it, he can do whatever he wants with it, including selling it for a huge profit. But, that also means no one is going to trust him or do anything to help him out ever again. Karma is a b!tch.
I guess PIF dealings should be done only between respected and well-established members. Hard lessons all the way around...
