The Str is actually not too bad. The axels are very thick, 8mm hardened steel I think. These are not whimpy 6mm chrome steel like a Maxx axel. You could do the hub conversion, but its expensive (unless someone knows a good deal???) and you have to get the super duty 8mm axels to fit the XL sized dogbones. I think thats what the hub kit as, but its like $60 list price or so. [edit: there are not 17mm hex hub axels that work with the super duty axels that come on the XL and Flux. Only for the smaller dogbones of the X abd below]

It is a goofy way to do it tho, and I don't know what its going to do the life of the bearings. So far so good tho for ~2.5gals. IDK why they just didn't do offset wheels. The stockers have 0 offset I think. I just decided I'm going to get the Axial 17mm 40 series wheels w/ 28mm offset when I need new wheels. IDK if its worth the $$ to change the axels around. Bearings are cheap enough.
