6s 5000 would be a brick. I know- I have one! 6s 3700 would be sufficient. Look at it this way, the car is gonna have sooo much more torque than the stock nitro motor. With torque taken care of; weight = traction. Putting a brick in it might not be a bad thing!

Low-capacity cells are OK, as long as they can supply enough burst current not to hold you back at the starting line! Adding a few extra capacitors on the main ESC leads would be a good idea, too.
