Geared 14/46 with 4s, temps dropped to 150 for some reason and top speed still seemed slower than 5s geared 11/46. All runs consisted of building up to full throttle each pass and then using the breaks to stop before turning around again. The above temps were taken with an infrared temp sensor, measuring the black sticker on the endbell at a setting of 95% emissivity. An actual thermometer that plugs into my eagletree and attached to the can with thermal paste and masking tape consistantly recorded temperatures 30 degrees cooler than the temp probe. It's hard to say which one is more correct. I would imagine if the motor was really ever 160, I would have burned my hand by now.

Nice to know there are others that were curious, makes me feel less strange. I will try 8s on mine eventually, but will probably replace the bearings before doing it. The motor is well over a year old and don't want to take chances.
I have a 16024 MGM esc that needs to be sent in to get wires replaced and a bad glitch checked out (It's an older fiberglass covered one with plug in power wires) Could someone tell me about the charges for service and possibly update (If can be done)?
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
