It sounds like your a track guy so if you look at the chart on the above page you will see that a 5S battery with a 1700kv will give you about 31k which is perfect for track use. Efficient enough to help you with your run time goals. At least get 5000 mah and be sure to check the weight of the pack when you get to larger mah packs.

I had an ST-RR with Dan's RC Product Design conversion running on 6S 4000mah using a Neu 1512 2y 1400kv with 17/50 gearing getting me almost 20 mins. Not a lot of people like the 1512 for the Truggy, but the temps were good, weighed in a little lighter than a 1515, and still had tons more power than I needed. I have a pretty good throttle finger so I had a lot more efficiency with that too.

The only thing I would be worried of is that the Tekin has not been tested by the consumer yet. I too am eye-balling the motors and the speed control but won't move until the forum folks give us the dirt. I have gone through 3 MMM's and Nue motor when I got started with 1/8th electric (MMM's were my fault and all covered, Nue was covered and Impakt RC took care of me on that) now all my stuff works flawlessly. I still carry a spare MMM and Neu motor to the track. Downtime sucks especially when you just bought it, took the time to carefully install it and after a few minutes if goes up in smoke.

Anyways, sorry for the rant! Let us know what conversion your using and what motor you end up getting. Hope that helps some.
