Yay!!!

It's been a long time waiting (thankyou, ParcelFarce), but the motor has arrived, and she's all ready for her first test run. I knew exactly how big the motor would be, but this is the first Neu-based motor I've ever bought...and blimey. This thing is a beast! Takedown, it's the 2200kv CC-Neu. :)

It has very little endplay - maybe about 1mm - which is good, and the whole casing is very nicely made. It just feels solid, and looks beautiful in person. The only issue I had mounting it was with the pinion. Because I've had to go with an 11T pinion, the "troughs" of the pinion teeth are sunk-in to the shank of the pinion. I hope that makes sense. Because of this (and because the grub screw also sticks out a little), when I mounted it the normal way, the grub screw was interfering with the spur.
The only way round I've found is to reverse the pinion and have the grub screw right on the end of the shaft. Not ideal, but it's a fairly light truck, so I can't see there being any shaft breakage issues. The pinion and spur are *seriously* noisy, though I'm hoping that'll quieten down after a run or two.

Anyhoo, on with the pics:

I just can't wait to drive this thing! I haven't driven a single RC in over 8 months, so I'm bursting. I'll try and get a vid if I can. Unfortunately the wheelie bar I ordered isn't here yet, so I'll have to be mighty gentle on the throttle...but then again, the lid's gonna get wrecked anyway lol.

I'll let you all know how I get on once I'm back.
