I agree on the MMM controller. For what you get its a really good price on the combo. The ability to program on your computer is just huge for these types of vehicles. It could save you on broken parts down the road. Things like adjusting brakes, punch control, lipo cutoff etc etc are all invaluable when running these trucks especially when you get into the 35mph to 40mph range and beyond.
I have an MMM feigao 7xl combo which used to be MM 7xl combo and also an MMM 2200 combo both in 2 3905 emaxxes. I like the 7xl but you are limited on runtime as the motor will heat up and there is the constant worrying about the can popping issue. Even when using an MM you need the external bec and by the time you get that and the rcm heatsink you might as well just buy the MMM combo.
The 80A esc might be a good way to go to save some money but I dont personally think 80A is enough for an MT. I fried my 80A mtroniks truck esc on the 7xl geared for 38mph. I know some of the guys have been testing them though so they might want to chime in on this one.
